I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

Monsters
WOW that's amazing- is that the kraken is a humongous octopus that swims around in the deep blue sea and will attack and sink a passing ship.
Yuck, gross-what I found yuck and gross about the kraken was that its head is so big and slimy.
I don't believe it-that the kraken has only one eye on its head and it is huge.
kahui tipua
wow that's amazing-that the kahui tipua is that it lives in Aotearoa, there is a story about the kahui tipua-a tribe of fierce giants.
Yuck, gross-that the kahui tipua has three tongues and they could stride from a mountaintop to another and swallow whole streams.
I don't believe it-that they hide in caves and will attack anyone who walks past.

Covid-19 Writing
What the rules are in level two is wearing a mark if you were in town because so if you were talking to someone at the counter you are not spitting when you talk or for coughing into your elbow because you are coaching into your marks. Hand sanitiser because if you cough into your hand and you do not wash or sanitiser your hands everything that you touch will have your gems on it.How did I feel bored. Always remember that we all need to be one metre apart and stay in your bubble. Always make sure you wash your hands before and after walking your dog, baking and don’t play on the public playgrounds. It is not completely isolated here, so do not worry about your family's food and other things that you would buy from a supermarket. You need to be very careful about who you touch and who you hug. You can only touch your family like your mum, dad, bothers, sisters and other family members. At most schools the assembly won’t be the whole school together but it will be in a hangout. People always need to wear a mask when you are out and about or when you just have a little walk with your family or by yourself. All of the people that got a test were from Auckland. My experience about covid 19 nineteen has been interesting but still a little bit frightening. what i liked about look down was my dog.

L2 2017 - Celebrating Puanga at Ramanui
In many parts of Aotearoa, people celebrate the Māori New Year when Matariki (a group of stars also known as the Pleiades) appears.
celebrate the Māori New Year when Matariki (a group of stars also known as the Pleiades) appears. However, if you live in Taranaki, Matariki is hard to see because it’s very low in the eastern sky.
what I found interesting was at the last page there was a photo of kids holding a time capsule and in it their was what they want t to be when they are an adult.
